Re: best looking cowl hood

I personally like the Big Block SS style hood...but thats because I own a bird and it is really hard to find good looking hoods for the birds

My vote goes to either the BB SS hood or Cervinis

Re: best looking cowl hood

yea your 4 inch glasstek looks good because you got the wheels and the stance to match the meanness of the car....but if you have a completely stock 3rd gen, don't just throw a 4 inch hood on it...glasstech makes a good hood from what I've heard.....as for finding a hood for a bird, ram air II, you cna't go wrong...looks awesome!!

Re: best looking cowl hood

here is a pic of my SS hood from ASCD. I had to fix a few places in it and file the holes out a bit. Other than that it lined up great.

More pics in sig

My vote goes for a fiberglass replacement or maybe 1.5 inch cervinis (that is if they make them). I think the BB SS hood, 3in/4in, etc are just too "loud". I like the clean look. That is why when I get a hood it will be a fiberglass replacement, light weight and sleek. Other wise a small cowl hood ~1.5 inches or so.

Re: best looking cowl hood

Xpndbl3, Looks great. It looks like im going for the 4 inch cowl, I was originally going with a 2 inch but i want the cowl to start at the front of the hood not 1/4 down the hood. Besides im prolly going with a tunnel ram. Thanks.

Re: best looking cowl hood

Stick with a 2" or 4" cowl. 6" is too extreme for a street car.

I use a bolt on cowl style with a factory fiberglass hood.

I like the look of the Iroc-Z turbo hoods with the louvers and stuff..but I'm a bit partial to that hood since that's what I got. Don't mind me...my .02

The fit and finish of these hoods are better than all the rest.
