balance a 383?

I have a 383 kit in my 350 block no flywheel or balancer the guy who did it said it was balanced at scat but don`t balanced kits come with a balancer and flywheel

do I have to take the kit out and balance it now the guy that built it said no. but theres no warranty on the engine I have $3000 in it, balancing is another $800 I sure hope not.

Will the engine last if I run a good aftermarket balancer?

What do you want to balance? The crankshaft should have a weight set on it, your rods/pistons should match the weight. If it's all new you shouldn't have a problem. A good damper is always a good thing, I think that 383 is externally balanced by the damper.
