Auto to manual tranny swap, possible?

I've got a '88 Z28, 5.7 TPI, pretty much all stock. Is it possible to swap the auto tranny with a 6 speed? If so, what would be involved?

Certainly. It's not to hard either. You will need a T56, of course, a Clutch Master Cylinder, Slave cylinder, and you can either take a pedal assembly out of a 4th Generation f-body,(recommended) or do some fabrication to your existing pedal assembly and add the clutch. You'll need a new crossmember(Spohn makes them) and other things Im sure Im forgetting.

You'll have to cut a hole in the floor where the shifter will come through, but other than that, it's pretty straight forward. Also, you have mechanical guages, any 6 speed you get will be configured for an electrical gauge. My fix is to buy new guages, but there are other alternatives you can look into. I believe there is a company who makes a tailshaft for these kind of swaps. Several people have done it here, it isnt too hard at all.
