AUTO or MANUAL

I've checked around some camaro's...and it looks like the faster ones seem to be Auto's... Why is that? I love driving manual, and want to buy a camaro, but want to buy the fastest I can get... What do you think..

It is weather or not you can throw your shifter around at WOT on a standard.
Auto's are more consistant and they shift faster than most people with a stock stick.

Fastest? You'll want a manual trans probably

Quickest? An auto for starters! The only way a manual car can be quicker is if you can get the car to launch nicely and if you can shift perfectly. Takes quite a bit of practice but when you master it, yer the man

you probably notice with 3rd generation Fbody's, that auto's are faster, because only automatic's came with the L98 (the 350 engine), where stick shift's didn't come with 350's in the third generation's. 3rd gen=82-92
