You will need some very thick wire .25'' at least and the ground you can just use a 4ga to the body.
2 peaces of OO wire would probley do.
I want to do mine and I have about 14 feet of .5'' thich aluminum wire that I got from a construction site dumpster.
Keep the line in side and go through the fire wall don't go over the axel out side the car.

Is this strictly for street use or do intend to use it at a sanctioned track? Without a proper installation it won't pass a tech inspection.

I did mine last year.
I used 2guage for the positive and 4guage for the negative from teh battery to the chassis.
I also ran a 4 guage wire from the alternator bracket to the body as well for ground.
I used a marine battery box mounted in the spare tire well for the battery.
Mine isn't wired up to pass tech at a track since I don' t have a kill switch mounted to the back of my car.

I used Welding Supply wire since it is very flexible and I had to run it through the car.
I'll be re-doing the install again to make it nice and neat and use a metal battery box.
