Question Anyone good with Quadrajets?

Just doesn't feel like the 2 bigger barrels are opening consistently. Any thoughts?

Possibility: a lot of qjets have linkage that goes to a swinging block. So when engine is cold and choke is on or partially on, it swings out and keeps secondaries from opening. They can get out of adjustment and sometimes block off the secondaries when they are not supposed to.

Linkage is a pain, so in these situations, I drive out the pin the swinger is held by, and grind a little off the swinger.

This makes sense. I'll have a look on days off. The problem seems to have started after I had the pull-off valve replaced. Does that make sense? Thanks for your help. Tracey

Egad! That went stright to my Id! Uh, okay, let me think about it...yes, yes it would help. There is, however, the issues of shipping and exchange rate. If you're familiar with these, fill me in on the details. I'm interested.
