anyone ever have this unusual problem?

i just changed my k-member to a tubular k-member and i wanna know if something is wrong or if this happens once in a while

i put in the k-member and was droppin the engine back in, i didnt expect it to be easy and it wasnt, for some reason the brackets on both sides of the engine would not line up with the mounts at the same time, i got one bracket to mount and put the bolt through i figured i could just pivot the engine into the other bracket but no, so i dropped the k-member and lowered the engine so that i could mount the k-member to the engine first and then to the frame
even then i couldnt get both mounts to line up, its as if the motormount provisions on the k-member were placed just a little too close together

my brother go the idea to remove the mounts from the k-member and attacher them to the motor, then attach them to the k-member, and thats when i could see that the provisions were just millimeters away, so i put my foot on the engine, one hand pulling the k-member and the other hand slipped the bolt through the mount when they aligned

after forcing the top bolts and nuts on, i tightened them down and was able to get the lower bolts in, and then tightened those down and then finally put the k-member and the frame back together

a little unconventional?
i think so

anyone else have a similar problem or did i just get a poorly made product?

What brand k member do you have?

I used PA's unit and everything bolted up fine (motor, chassis)...

EXCEPT the stock a arms. I was told by PA the stock a arms would work but the forward part of the a arm would hit and rub and bind up on the main support tube if the arm moved up.

Luckily I found it before I started putting everything back together, although it would've been pretty obvious the moment I tried to install the coil springs.

I ended up getting PA's tubular a arms and that solved the clearance problem.
