Anybody know anything about Pro-Am Firebirds??
A friend is looking for info on a 1988 Pro-Am Firebird, but hasnt been able to come up with anything...not even on thirdgen.org. Has anybody ever heard of this, and if so, what can you tell me about it? TIA...
In my neck of the woods we have players edition transams and camaro's. They have 1-le brakes, and all the bolts on the engine and tpi are painted yellow to avoid tampering. They also have an exhaust dump from the factory that can be un-corked if wanted. Look in to these things and if it is so equipped, that's what he has.
I've seen one in a junkyard. It was an 86, looked like a base firebird painted white with dark gray lower half. It had the letters Pro-Am on the doors - IROC style - but looked tacky and definately aftermarket. It had a stock LG4 auto, and drum rear brakes. It also had the smaller front sway bar. So I don't think it was any kind of performance package. Most of the interior was missing, but it did have an unusual looking door panel. That's as much as I can tell ya
