im lookin to swap my 305 tpi out for a ls1 or if im lucky ls6. if i were to do this i would have someone do it for me. how much would it run me for labor, and if no one could do it what about the difficulty of doing this?

 

Check out fbody motorsports....they have done this many times and have some of the parts taht you're going to need. Good Luck

But labor will run you an absolute TON; as in several thousand. But and LS1 in such a finely balanced car as an IROC would run amazing

This will help you out a lot, there's a TON of info about swapping in an LSx motor either yourself, or some shops that have done this. This is something that is on my long term goals list of things to do, though it'd probably be an LS2 by then, punched out to an historic Pontiac displacment, would that be 455?? sounds good to me .
