air intake

I think i have seen a few air intakes where they have fully removed the air box coming off the TPI and just put a cone filter on the end of the throttle body. I looked on K&N but i didn't find much i don't think..i was wondering if any of you knew where you can buy something like this that will fit my 1990 IROC Z-28 5.7L TPI car????

Thanks Lance

Those will only work on a speed density car. If I remember correctly they were only available in 91-92. If you have a MAF you can not simple throw on a filter to your TB.

Run a search in this forum on "free ram air" or "homemade ram air." It's a fairly common mod and you should find plenty of info on it.

Apparently, your memory is not as good as you thought.
90-92 are Speed Density.
