air cleaner help

air cleaner help

i have a 87 firebird and i just put togther a motor however i can't find an air cleaner that will fit underneath my hood it has an edelbrock rpm manifold and 750 edelbrock carb.
please help

They make little rinky dink ones, try summit racing, or Jegs, or some other performace parts store. If you don't like the super tiny ones, you can get a really thin one. I used to have one. It was only like an inch and a half tall, but the same circumference as the regular one.

Get one with a drop base. Did that on mine.

You will need a drop base aircleaner. But not just any drop base. The Firebird hoodline is lower than the Camaro, and requires more extreme measures. You need a GM repro L-88 drop base with a 2.5" tall filter.
