after market MAF sensor
The only aftermarket MAF that isn't 100% identical to the unreliable stock crap is the Wells SU 145. It's a completely different design that uses a thick film MAF (Just like the LT1 design) instead of that wire crap. It's more reliable, flows substantially more air, has a lifetime warranty... and it's the cheapest MAF on the market. $165.
Do a search for SU 145 on thirdgen.org and you'll come up with all sorts of information on it.

The wells flows the same or slightly more than a stock one with the screens removed. This is with the wells 100% untouched with the screen in place. But... since even a stock MAF with both screens installed will flow more than the computer can recognize anyway, it's really a moot point.

Agreed! Will, if you are looking for a performance modification, this is not the right tree to bark up. Your money would be better spent on headers or a catback. Since you are pretty local, perhaps we could cruise sometime.

Will, you should visit the MI Great Lakes message forum on the bottom of the main forums summary page. You'll see it. We plan a lot of events like going to the track with a bunch of F-body guys and stuff.
Cya, check my link in my sig for pics of my car. There are only 3 like it in town.
