Im getting ready to perform the swap and was wondering what everyone who is doing the swap was doing about the cable. I've heard something of a sensor that plugs into to back of your cluster and reads off the the T56 speed sensor? Has anyone else heard of this and where can I get it?

 

I did this swap....I had the T5 and placed a T56 from a Ls1 camaro into mine. I tried the Abbott Box....I didnt like that idea at all. So, I did the Dakota Digital Box and a Auto Meter electronic speedo.....The best idea ever!! If you need pictures I will send you what I have..Nice car!! Good Luck!!

Awesome. That sounds like the way to go. But how does it wire in exactly? Also, did you cut the gas pedal off of your pedal assembly and use the thirdgen accelerator? Any information you have is well appreciated.

Yeah, Im trying to get all the information I can. I am also installing the LT1 that goes with it and I still have to figure out all of that wiring, so Im trying to make the rest of it as carefree as possible. I do appreciate the help.
