92 RS Questions...

Looking at buying a 92' RS Camaro, has a 305 w/A4, has all maint. records and window sticker, the lady that is selling it is the first owner.
Runs very well, tho has 115k on it "freeway miles" but does seem to run alittle hot, around 215/220* Is this normal? also is this the TBI set up, through the carb? Also is the tranny the 4L60 or the 700R4?

Thanks for any input guys.

The temp is normal, GM likes to run the cars hot. My 92 Z would run 220 + all day long before I did some mods to it.

TBI looks like it has a carb on it, but it is not a carburetor, TBI stands for Throttle Body Injection and it has 2 injectors in it.

4l60 and 700R4 are really the same thing, it's only when you start talking about the 4l60E that the trans is different.

Yea, I know what you mean, i have the 4L60E on 97'SS, but heard that the 700r4 was reworked in 90/91 to the 4L60 and then changed again in 93 with the new camaro to the 4L60E
Just trying to get it straight,
I also show 3 differant listing for thr 305 motor,
the LO3 @170HP and 225/torq.
and an LB9 @205HP and 285/torq. w/single exhaust
and an LB9 @230HP and 300 /torq. w/dual exhaust

Anyone know if this is correct?
Thanks for any help.

The listings for the motor look right to me, the LO3 is the TBI motor and the LB9's are the TPI motors.
