91 carbed car

Just bought a 91 carbed 350 transam. Was WS6 tpi car. Ecm completley disconected. Can I get my speedo and tach to work somehow without ecm? The lockup is not working now. Will it overheat and burn up trans? Car runs great. Thanks

Get a computer to put back in there... You can make the items work if you call Summit and tell then what you need but for gods sake get rid of that god awful carb.

Re: 91 carbed car

The speedometer is controlled by the computer, so I dont think there is a way to make it work. The transmission lockup can be controlled separately with a special part. I think you can get it from B&M or TCI or other 700R4 specialists. The tachometer is controlled by the distributor, which is controlled by the ECM, so I think you're out of luck there as well. Hopefully some one with some TPI to carb experience will see this thread and reply.
