Unhappy 90 5.0 Header Help! Pass side hit A/C Box

Please help. My A/c box is really pissn me off. I recently purchased new shorty header 3” y pipe CAT, and CAT back. I stuck on the passenger side with interference issues. I’m forced to install the header from the top, but it’s hitting the box that surrounds the A/C @ the firewall. What do I need to remove to complete this installation?

Thanks

Have You checked your motor mounts recently?
I overlooked mine, which are now 22 years old. WHen I tried to install my heeaders last week, I discovered interference issues on the Hooker headers. An investigation showed that the motor mounts had sagged 1/2 inch and that was enough to cause the interference.

However, it that ain't it, try removing the starter and all the spark plugs. Pull the passenger side motor mount bolt, raise the car up as high as you can on jack stands, temporarily remove the bolts to the transmission mount, then place a jack under the oilpan and give it a shove upwards. The engine should move up and away from the passenger side, enabling you to slip the header in from the bottom.
