i have a 1989 Camaro RS with a piece of **** 2.8L V6, 173 CID, Vin "1", and whoever had it before me (naturally) beat the hell out of it, im still in the process of fixing it up and other than body work itself, all i need to do is fix the timing because its shifting gears with great difficulty, takes a couple tries to start, idles around 2000, etc. etc. ive narrowed it down to the timing but have no idea on how to change it, what do i need to do it, how do i do it, and i dont want anything special, i just want it to run right, thx

 

If you don't know how to set it, bring it somewhere that does. You need a timing light so unless you want to invest in one...
