I'm far from an expert on this but had an 89 IROC with a 350. problem was the body did twist too much. That was the main reason I sold it.

I have a 91 L98 with T-tops. They have a Custom Creations logo on them meaning they were of course installed after the factory.

Solution = Subframe Connectors

If that doesn't solve it for you, 4-8pt roll bar.
