k cause i always thought that in the 3rd gen camaros the manual transmission cars only got a 305 cause thats all the tranny could handle and the auto cars got a 350. Any idea about that?

That's right......only cars with a 305 could be had with a 5-speed....all 350's from the factory came with automatic.

Yep that's right.

And just to warn you, some wise guy will post here saying how there were 50 350 5spd cars made--MAYBE, but NONE remain today. Oh and the 25 1992 Firehawks with a 350/6spd.

Basically what 92_RS_305 said, that's all you'll ever see anyway.

also know if youre looking at cars some people will try to pass off a 305 for a 350 the easiest way is to check the vin. A swap may still have been done but then at least you know its not a factory 350 and you have to do some more investigating
