Exclamation 88 IROC, New member need help!!!

Ok here we go, i had this car back in HS and sold it after i got rear ended in it, well my friend ran it out of oil and had a new motor and heads put in it. I just got the tranny rebuilt and new tires, Accel wires and cap, 28# Bosch injectors,

now heres my problems,

The car won't idle down at all stay above 2000

I checked the codes and came up with codes: 21, 22, 33, 36

Also I have a oil leak coming out and dripping right at the bell housing, i thought it was the rear main seal so i replaced it as i put in the tranny but there is still a leak, pretty decent one to, about a drop a second.

please help, thanx (also if anyone in the Dallas/PLano, TX area has a Datalogger and would like to come help out, would be appreciated)

It's a 305 TPI with manual tranny if that makes any difference.

Without looking them up your 33 and 36 are MAF related ,probably the relay. Cheap fix.

I think a valve cover gasket or distributer leak can drip down and make it look like a rear main, why not check those out.
21. High voltage at throttle positon sensor
22. Low voltage at throttle positon sensor OR
Fuel cutoff relay circuit open or shorted to ground
33. High voltage (low vacuum) at mass air flow sensor (or MAP sensor)
36. Burn off at mass air flow sensor OR
Problem in transmission shift OR
Fault in direct ignition system OR

And you have the right idea with the datalogger, if the motor isn't stock and your running TPI you will need a custome chip.

You sure about that injector size? I thought they didn't make 28 pph but 30 instead. Anyways, I suspect that is your problem there. Your injectors are way too big for the car. Custom EPROM will take care of htat. see sig

MAF burnoff relay is on the firewall next to the mastercylinder, there are three relays there it should be the middle one. I just replaced mine last weekend was getting the same codes 33/36. This is a common relay to go out and this is the thied time it has failed, don't waste your money buying a Delco to replace it they are cheap at AutoZone (or like places),so buy two and keep one in your tool kit for emergencies ,as all of these relays are exactly the same they will work were they'er needed.

See my sig. www.fasterproms.com is the company I am thinking of. They will burn it to your specs and can take readings and reburn till it is on target. Most of the others burn it off some pattern and don't refine it.
