88 Camaro 305...Intake Manifold HELP

im lookin to get a high performance intake manifold to get my hp up...however everyone says stealth ram but i jus cant afford that, i would really appreciate it if someone could please tell me the best intake manifold to run on a 305 i.e. the name, product number etc... i would like to make good power from idle to 5500 or 6000 rpm

this thing carb'ed or fuel injected?

its the year of the TPI it has a carb n fuel injection both...the injectors shoot gas into the carb.

Sure you aren't thinking of a TBI setup? Where the injectors shoot down into a carb looking thing? Some pics, something. I've seen hundreds of third gens and talked to hundreds of third gen owners but never seen such a setup.

lol im sure u mean u have TBI injection. not sure how many aftermarket intakes they have for TBI tho. id ditch it and throw a carb on it

it really isnt a carb?? damn...never knew that, anyways if i do have a TBI set up is it hard to switch over to a true carb?
Can someone explain the switch to me...as well as what carb n intake would be good to use...product numbers would help alot too so i can find the right intake n carb

Do a search. There have been pretty extensive threads on the swap. Including what you need to change, and good carb/intake combos. Not too difficult though.

I agree with corey. Personally, I thoroughly enjoy my Edelbrock Performer intake manifold and 600 CFM carburator. I got good fuel economy in town (prior to the gear swap), and an impressive power increase. They're also dirt cheap. :P
