87 wiring harness vs. 88 wiring harness (TPI)

To put it short, I think I am going to swap an 88 TPI 350 drivetrain into an 87 TPI 305 car. Would changing the injectors and CPU out work or would I have to swap the whole engine harness?

Thanks in advance for any help. I would ask/seach on Thirdgen.org but it appears to be down.

Just grab the CPU from the 88 car and buy a new set of 24# injectors and it should work. Not much sense in reusing injectors that are 16 years old when you can buy new ones for under $250.

Ps. I don't recall if the 88 had the cold start injector, but if it doesn't then you'll have one wire left over that you can leave unplugged.

No changes in the wiring hardness for the 305 to 350 TPI swap.
