87 Iroc AIRBOX modification

i was just curious if someone could tell me how i would modify the very restricting stock airbox on my 87 IROC thanks for all the input guys or girls

Take it out & cut the bottom off if its a TPI system.

Cut the bottom of the airbox off just Past the area with the fins on.
It will give your car a little bit more breathing area. If I had pics of mine I would. But right now its cold as heck out side & I am not going to go fight with my car to take it apart.

Ok, what she means is you have take off your airbox and remove the baffles. Very easy mod to acomplish. Just take off your Y intake piece and you will see your air filters. Take them out,
right below them will be baffles which restrict the intake. Remove the air box and get a saw or a cut off wheel, i used a hacksaw to cut off the baffles. It was very quick and i finished it up with a sander. If you are neat you will not be able to that there are supposed to be baffles there. Mine looks stock to someone who doesnt know. Its easy, u cant screw it up.
