I gonna keep it stock right now, till the engine is worn out anyhow. The more I look at it, the better it looks. It's so solid, it'a amazing. It looks way worse than what it is. Looks new under the hood and under the chasis. Now to get the title. It's clear according to carfax, so shouldn't be a prob.

Question

I gotta replace my dry rotted tires. I was thinking to put 235/60x15's. Think that be a good size? I did a rough measurement, it looks like 8" rims? What ya all think?

I checked and I got the 3.23 axle ratio. (5 spd stick)

I'd go with 245/50/15's all around. My IROC stock came with 245/50/16's and it handles and rides real well with them. I think a 60 profile tire will give it too much sidewall and height but its your decision.

Question

I was mess'n with it today and cleaned out a mouse nest in the air intake. Suprised it ran with all that stuff in there. And vacummed up all the clay nests. I pathed up the muffler pipes with a repair kit and adjusted the emergency brakes so it grabs.

I noticed when rocking it side to side some clicking. I checked front wheels and shook those side to side. It has just a tad of clicking, probably just the normal tolerance for the front bearings. Been a while since I had a rwd car. I'd imagine the adjustment is to torque it, then back the nut about 1/4 turn? I guess I gotta get a service manual for it. I gonna pick up some light bulbs tomorrow and wiper blades, then it should be ready for inspection soon. Still gotta send away for the title though.

I have the same ride as you (minus the rust). I have 164K on the engine without having to ever tear into it. The LG4 is a dog slow motor but it is still a fun car to drive.

I have P245 50 R 16 Bridgestone Potenza's on the IROC rims that came with the car. It handles so nice in turns with those tires.

Did you get it titled yet? I too had to do a lost title application. Luckily the old owner went to the DMV with me and I got it registered on the spot. Good Luck!
