Good rear....stronger than the 10-bolt but also more pricey to work on. I'm in the market for one myself.

I can get my old one back and sell it to you if you want it.
It is a 3.27 with Disc Brakes.

Hey like I said I'm lookin. In all honesty I've been trying to find a 3.45 rear but they're awfully hard to come by....how much would you need for yours? Also what is it out of? Your '86?

3.27s dang i would love to have that gear well i would really love to have the 3.73s (they didnt come with the 9bolt) but **** you guys are talking about 3.27's and 3.45's. Im stuck with 2.77's so consider yourselves kinda lucky. I need a series 3 carrier ($445) the gears and the money to pay for may computer to be reprogramed after i get gears (because the 4l60e shifts through the computer) sorry had to vent because im pissed that i cant afford gears and dont think its worth $700 to get them.

Probably $250-300 for it with the brakes and yes, this came off of my 86 Trans Am 305 5 Speed.

Hey guys. I've got a 9 bolt disc rear and a set of 3.27s I'd be willing to part with. I've got it apart at the moment...axles and posi out, I'm painting it with POR-15 over the weekend. No calipers or rotors, tho.

Just throwing it out there.
