i just got a cai for my 87 iroc and i was wondering if anyone noticed a gain

ALSO, since i had to relocate the round black vacuum canister, is this canister manditory or can it be removed?

 

Keep it unless you want to smell gas flumes, also part of the emission system.

 

any1 have a pic of this CAI for an 87 IROC? i have an 87 and i didnt really think u could get any better air than where it comes from,i mean where the fog lights are. i have my air boxes gutted,i would think that would be good enough b/c the clean air is going right into those 2 holes and right into the motor.
