I got a 83 Camaro LG4 and i am wondering if it has a 700r4 in it... I have a 85 berlinetta that needs a trans.. will it work??

 

Your '83 Camaro came with the 700r4 trans.....

You have an 85 camaro and it needs a trans alltogether? Are you asking if the car will run without a transmission?

Or did you leave out the part where you wanted to swap some kind of tranny in there?

 

It may NOT be a 700R4. The 700R4 was the 4speed with overdrive trannie that was released in 83 yess but if the car did not have over drive it most likely was not the 700R4.

The other trannie that was an automantic for that year was the 200c. Which ran in the 3rd gens for 82 & 83.

MX1 is the 200c
MX0 is the 700R4.
