700R4 / Turbo350 swap.... torque arm ???

Ok ,
I just got my hands on a street strip turbo350 that I want to put in my car. I know I need a new crossmember and driveshaft, but I have no clue where to mount the tourque arm? I don't really want to buy an aftermarket torque arm because I don't have the money. But since some of the older 3rd gens came with a turbo350 then shouldn't they have some sort of tourque arm mount on the trans?
thanks

try the link below...with the B&M kit, you can keep the stock crossmember.

the first few years they came with the TH200R4 which is the driveshaft they recomend using with out modification with the TH350 swap. Other wise you will need to have a driveshaft made. 200R4 driveshafts are few and far between. I also would recomend the B&M kit for the torque arm if your gonna do the swap.

I am looking for the cheapest method, so how much is this B&M bracket? Would any stock crossmember work? or is there like any adapter to put onto the 700r4 adapter?
thanks everyone!

As far as i know the only way to do it is use the B&M kit. I've done it and know first hand it is a pain in the butt. If you are going to do the swap i would recomend around a 2400 stall converter to make up for the difference in the first gears of the two tranny's. If you don't i think you will be disapointed in the launch.

Check it

Spohn makes a crossmember/drive shaft loop/tq arm for a th350 swap, its a little pricy but when you figure an after market tq arm is $300 alone its a pretty good deal.

Is the turbo 350 a long tail or short tail? If you have the 700r that came out of the car, I took the tail housing off that trans, and put it on the turbo 350. The turbo 350 was a long tail and I think it bolted right up, it was a long time ago. As far as the cross member, use the stock one. You just have to get a different trans mount that I think has to be farther back.

Re: 700R4 / Turbo350 swap.... torque arm ???

i am in the proccess of doing this swap my self into my 86 iroc my th350 has the 8 in. tail shaft the trans bolted up perfect using my stock crossmember and driveshaft and a stock 700r4 trans mount but my problem is the torque arm mount and since i am a welder/fab. i really would hate to spend 80 bucks on a bracket that i could easily make does anybody have a blueprint for this bracket?????
