Re: 700R4 plug question

That is for the lockup converter. Without that plugged in, the converter will never lockup.

Re: 700R4 plug question

which isnt a terrible thing, but will hurt gas mileage

my torque converter is garbage so i've had it unplugged for over a year... no issues yet.

Re: 700R4 plug question

Yeah the worst that it will do is kill some gas mileage, and if its a high stall converter it may creat some extra heat (like it wouldnt already). But if you do alot of around town stop and go driving you will probably never notice a thing.

Re: 700R4 plug question

YEah that plug is pretty common, a junkyard should have several to choose from, or you could just buythis whole tranny I have setting in my garage...lol

Yea, pretty much all GM lockup transmissions use that square plug.

Re: 700R4 plug question

I actually want to get another tranny, this one has a heli coil in it where it bolts to the cross member and crap. but w/e. I dont need the plug in that pic, i need the part that plugs INTO it. Because as you can see, part of w/e plugged into it, is still in there, the little plastic pieces broke off
