Can't be computer controlled cause my computer is on my garage bench and my converter locks with a manual switch using factory wiring Gotta know someone who can find the correct wires and install the switch in-line. Also I went from TPI to carb setup. Painless sells a kit but you have to open up the trans to install it.

What I ment to say is that it was changed from the stock q-jet to a non comp controlled holley 4160. So all I really need to do is just rig up a manual switch?

Yeah. On the street with it locked up, it unlocks everytime you have your foot on the brake, and it stays unlocked in first gear only somehow because of the way the trans routes fluid internally. Once second gear engages, it locks immediately. Feels like a manual trans car from then on. Quick firm shifts and the RPM''s stay WAY down low for the ultimate gas mileage It's nice to have with a big converter. I probably get 4-5 more MPG around town honestly since the converter isn't loose with it locked and it kind of reminds you to keep your foot out of it just because of how low the rpms stay. Steeper gears may be needed also to keep the engine from bogging TOO low. I have 3.73's and 28's out back and it's cool so far. Goodluck!
