also, would you recommend this for a mild street/strip application? or would this upgrade only be helpful for a high performance track car.

i can get the parts from the local transmission wholesale place i get my stuff from. this comes stock in 4l60e transmissions. i'm still running a 10 vane in mine. just not an absolute necessity.

well i already have the trans disassembled and im trying to add all of the "goodies" while its out of the car (shift kit, boost valve, vette servos, etc). I know i dont NEED it, but would it be a good thing to have? If i was to go from a 10 vane to 13 vane would it increase line pressure?

Without the "other" modifications that are done to the 4L60E, going to a 13 vane rotor setup will reduce the amount of oil volume that a 10 vane setup will produce. If you add the Trans-Go steel rings (known as no yo yo), this will solve the low pressure at hot idle and will not break. Unless the transmission has a 13 vane pump to start with, (late 1996 & up) there is no advantage to doing this.

I did order the steel pump rings, not sure if they were made by trans go or not. Ill take your advice and stick with the 10 vane pump, thanks for the input!
