Question 5 spd queston

I'm sure this has been asked before, but I need to know. Is there a reason for the angle mounting of the t5 trans? I working on a swap into a el camino and not sure wether to use the camaro bellhousing or a normal bellhousing.

thanks for any info.

It is tilted 18* (IIRC) down at the driver's side to clear the slave cylinder and clutch fork from hitting the trans tunnel area.

thanks for the info. I will be using a manual clutch, so I guess that leaves me with a couple of options.
