thats kinda funny since they both have the same suspension
and my 91 PORKER (gta)..ran a 14.1@96..with a flowmaster k&n and the egr walls ground down...

its a G92 LB9 car...

i run all over G92 L98 cars...nothing against it, but the LB9 can be fast if its driven properly

bottom line dude..if you can find a 91-92 LB9 t-5 car with 3.42 gears (g92)..id buy it..

L98 with 2.77 gears=14.5's
LB9 with t-5 and 3.08 gears=low 15
L98 with g92 (3.23 gears)=14.2-5
LB9 with G92 (3.42 gears)=mid 14 if you CANT drive

countless times ive whooped L98 cars...the only ones that give me a run are g92's...
ill take them outta the hole and theyll be forced to play catch up..about 50% of the time they dont catch me...

i speak from personall experiance...both the G92's are closely matched...

that and a good driver ....

actually is there a way to check the day it was built by the sequence number on the end of the vin?

youd be suprised how much crap i get...theres no way that car is that quick blah blah blah...i reply.."you wont run the time if your afraid to break it"....and it cost me a whole 85 bucks for a second gear that i wore the clutching teeth off of...whoop de do...

those times i ran were with a worn throw out bearing..worn synchronizers and bad clutching teeth on the 2nd gear and 1-2 slider....so my powershifts probly could have been a little faster...let alone the throw out bearing not engaging fast enough..

but i blew up the LB9...before i broke the 13's...now its a carbed LT4 motor that sits between the fenders...

ok enough of that...
when using the TPI setup..305 or 350 theres a limit that cant be surpassed without nitrous or a huffer...and if your looking to keep it mostly stock (no heads and cam swaps) then the LB9 is a damn fine choice..especially with the 5 speed...put an exhaust on it a k&n and some juice if you want 12's...

i know a guy with a LG4 with only headers cat back and a 100 shot running 13.2's....and the LG4 is a dog...

The suspension isn't the same. Firebirds are set up to be more compliant to the road and Camaros have a tougher ride due to tighter suspension. Why do you think IROC's and Z28's consistently hit .9-.92 G's when the GTAs and Formulas were still in the .8's?? And your car was definetly not the normal. Never heard of your combination beating an L98 G92 in person. It's great that you got a strong/fast 1 though.
