LT1
T-56
Rear end

I dont really care how many miles it all has but, lets just say with around 80k. Thanks guys

the t-56 is worth about 600-1000 by its self dont think id pay more then 800. Not sure about the rest. And personally i would stick with your L-98 and just put a mini-ram on it because it would be sooo much easier for the same gains and lower price.

The rear ends are the same except for the width. If you want stronger you'll have to go with after market.

yeah i fail to see the resoning people have begind doing a full lt1/ls1 swap. Why not go with a custom engine for example what i plan to do is buy a short block and just do heads, cam and intake. Put a t-56 in and a moser in the back. Much Much better combo and wouldnt end up costing too much more then just doing an ls1 swap and you could easily build a 500 hp motor.

I totally agree with you Doug about the engine thing. As for the T56, I've got $1350 in mine. Go to my site for a pricing breakdown. For the LT1, they're getting more and more affordable, I've seem them go for about $1000 on Ebay. And like Z28SORR said, the rears are identical except for width and some 4th gens have ABS provisions. You'll need to go aftermarket (or a stock 9-bolt) if you want something stronger. Good luck!

That's going to be an awesome ride man. What year 3rd gen are you going with? I would do it in a 91-92 Z28 personally...I think those are some very good looking Fbodies. Or a 1990 Trans Am...those are good looking cars too. That sounds like a fun project. If you go with an LT1 just make sure to post a lot in the LT1 tech area so people can help you make good decisions on the cam, headers, Heads, etc you are going to put in it.

make sure to swap in the 4th gen dash. I always look for a good one at the junk yards but they are always picked clean.

Lt1 drivetrain will run you anywhere from $1500 - $3000 for a stock setup.
I've got about $2500 in my engine/tranny/rear end right now.
