4th gen seat wiring harness
4th gen seat wiring harness
I have a 84Z28 and am installing 99Transam seats into it. My question---I dont have power seats now and I dont have the wiring harness for the new seats. Both new seats are power everything---will any 4th gen seat wiring harness work?
If the seats have power lumbar and bolsters, you will need to make a harness for the 2 seats or get one from a junk yard or the dealer.
The harness that goes from the car to the drivers seat is easy, just a power and a ground. The one from the drivers seat to the pass seat is kinda tricky since there is a vacuum tube that runs between them as well as 2 to 4 wires (can't remember the number of wires, but I can check since I am taking my seats out tomorrow).

Thanks. I live in Australia and someone told me that it would be just as easy for an auto-electrician to wire it up for me rather than chasing up a harness and then having to pay for shipping over here also customs duty. Will try that route and see how it goes. Will let all know.
