Question 4th Gen rear into my 3rd Gen????

Will a rear end out of a 99 Formula work in my 91 z28??? I was thinking that it will work, but the newer rear end is wider...anybody know for sure???

Yes it will work. And it is wider so your tires will stick out that much more. I have a 95 rearend in my car. You will get the added benefits of better brakes if you put that rear in as well.

yep it works, no modifications needed. just bolt it in, attatch brakes, fill with fluid and go.

How far will my wheels stick out??? Could I have the rims machined down to fit correctly or do I need new rims as well?

I believe it's 2" on each side.

I say that because with 4th Gen wheels you need 2" spacers front and rear. Once you get a 4th Gen rear, you no longer need spacers.

I'll find out in about a week...when my 4th Gen rear shows up and I'm able to put my ZR1s on.

I used 2.5" spacer on the front and 1.5" spacer on the rear if you use the stock 3rd gen rear.http://www.skulte.com/adapters.html I have pics in my sig
