4 point harness

hey guys. i'd like to get some racing seats put in my camaro and i think it would look great to have black/red racing seats with the seat belt hold over the shoulder and have a 4 point harness to match it. my question is, in order to put in those 4 point harnesses, do i have to take out the back seats? i looked through the window of my buddy's supra and his harnesses were anchord really far back, almost to the trunk. what do you guys think? anyone have any pics of this kind of setup in a third gen?

You really need a cage to do it right. Ancord to far back they won't work right, and I believe it will crush your spine?

I installed mine like this for now, till the cage and my new seats are installed. I bolted the rear belts to the factory rear seats belt anchors, FOR NOW.

you want to have them as close to a 90 degree angle as possible which is why a cage is nice with the mounting bar that runs across the back. some people will do like your buddy did which can be alright but going under a 45 degree angle is definately not a good idea.

as much horror as i've read about not having them hooked up to a cage i don't know if i'd put them in without one.

huh... how much is a cage and does it eliminate the back seat?
is there any welding or modificatino required to put one in? on what part of the cage does the harness attach to?
