Hey guys. Question will a 3rd gen dual fan cool a lt1 engine . I have an lt1 radiator also. this way i know if i should get 4th gen fans instead. thanks (lt1 is going in a 91 z28)

 

It should.
If it seems to run hot, wire up the second fan to run with the primary one. If that still doesn't work, get the LT1 fans. No sense spending money now if you don't have to.
If you do want to get the LT1 fans, I have a pair sitting in my garage that I got with the radiator. I'll be using Flex-a-Lite dual fans on my car.

 

I've heard they will fit with some cutting and drilling. the 4th gen radiator is much short from side to side, than the 3rd gen. best bet is to go to a yard and pick up the 4th gen radiator with dual fan setup for cheap

I have dual LT1 fans cooling my Iroc. have both fans running on a autofan control from summit. it was like $30 and it works perfectly. they come on when it reaches a certain temp, then goes off like 10 deg. cooler. keeps my 450 HP 350 cool as can be no problem. (I have no a/c condensor which could be a difference if you do have a/c.) w/anLT1 radiator, Id def. get the LT1 fans since they will drop right on the stock hangers.
