3rd Gen Dual Exhaust?

Ok guys ive got a 1986 Z28. I want to put dual exhaust on it, but i got the car up in the air and it looks almost impossible to run true duals. any thoughts? the car is Canadian Emissions.

It's very possible, you're just cutting down on ground clearance. It's also not "legal" in some states, and will not pass smog visually.

Here is a site that has a picture gallery of nothing but true duals on 3rd gens. http://fbody.beater.org/

There are a decent amount of people that have done it on thirdgen.org also, just check out the exhaust section.

Its been done many times over. Not sure how strict your emissions are, but the above post brings up a valid point.

i did it. right now i only have 3" of clearance because i was in a hurry, but i think i can get another inch or two by raising the mufflers.

mine looks like this.

i would run 2.5 for the extra clearance. you won't notice a difference in flow unless you're making like 600+rwhp.
