3rd Gen Concepts

When did the 3rd Gen concept first make its appearance, just outta Curiosity??

I just saw one of the cars at camaro Z28 M event this year. I read what it said but can't remember the date it was built.. If you check the links in my sig I will post the car. I really like the rear of the car and wished they would have done the production cars that way.

There were prototypes all the way back to the mid 70's. I've got pictures of most of them and some of them were very odd. A book called "Camaro, the Third Generation" by Michael Lamm is without a doubt the best source of info on the thirdgen prototypes.

Well

For a while there it was actually being considered for front wheel drive. Thank god they didn't. The have had LT-5 prototypes, 454 proto types and they even had a prototype that ran 11's and still got 26 mpg. Weighing in at 1,000 pound less than its second generation brother. Yeah I like them.
