3rd Gen Blackouts, PLEASE HELP!

Hello everyone,

I have a 91 camaro z28 and i received 2 GTO blackouts for my tailights and i have no idea how to apply them. Does anyone have any ideas on how i can get them to stay on? Thanks to an yone that can help me!

It did come with velcro, but it was only on the blackouts, i went to a store to buy velcro and tried to super glue it to my taillights but it wouldnt stick. How did u velcro them on? What adhesive did u use for the velcro to stick to the taillights.

the blackouts come with the velcro.I think mine were already locked together, you pry them apart, test fit,and take off the sticky tape, and apply, sounds like your kit is missing some stuff

if your going to screw them in make sure you get a cheap pair of taillights out of a junkyard unless yours are in bad shape already.

new taillights are roughly 400+ for the pair on our cars as well as hard to come by. when you decide you don't like them down the road you'll be sorry that you screwed them in.

they make two types of velcro...sewn and adhesive...sounds like you bought the sew type. just go to your average auto parts store or to save some money a fabric shop and get some adhesive 2 way tape and put it on. make sure you use a decent size amount for it though so they don't blow off....there isn't much resistance but you don't want to loose them on the highway.

yah go back to the store and get some adisive velcro (it comes in handy for alot of stuff),,,,,,some times you can heat up the sticky part a little with a lighter and it will help it stick better...also make sure you use alohol swab or some acotone or something to wipe of your tail lights to get rid of old wax and stuff. You dont want those covers coming off while your going down the hiway cause youll never see it again. The adisive dont stick well at all in the cold weather too...so if your like me where it snows then wait till spring or get it in a heated garage.
