355 AFR HSR Cam Selection

Hey I am trying to pick a cam for my current engine build. I have a 355 with AFR 195 heads. I also have a Holley Stealth Ram and the compression is around 10:1. It also has a T56 with 3.73 rear gears. The car is a daily driver but I dont mind going with a slightly radical cam to get the most power out of it. Also the block is a non-roller block so I am trying to decide to go with a retrofit roller or just a flat tappet. Any suggestions with be helpful.

A retrofit roller would be my choice. Hydraulic or Solid Roller if you're willing to do the lash dance. Lifters with a Tie Bar in the middle, a Cam "Button" for the front of the camshaft, retainer plate, etc will be needed but added power will be inlcuded also. Bad personal experiences, I'll never do a flat tappet cam again.

Daily driven, weekend warrior, or race only will be a deciding factor on the camshaft. I'd reccomend something from the Comp Cams Extreme Energy Mechanical Roller lineup( XR268R for a daily driven application and a XR280R for a more powerful approach with less timid manners) but consulting with a pro from Comp, Cam Motion, Crane, Crower and getting more reccomendations is always the way to go. Sounds like a good project! Goodluck!
