You'll probably get the jump on him, but once the GT gets moving it should over take you pretty easily.

My friends 99 GT managed a 14.5@96 with a 2.2 60 foot time on street tires. It is a 5 speed car. An identical auto car (same year, same car, same day) ran about 2 tenths slower on the same day. These are real results from cars I know, I've seen quicker times "claimed" on paper, but I can't verify those.

The 5 speed car had a K&N and a Cat back on it. Otherwise stock.

because my dad is paying for it all, he gave me my S10 but i had to sell it,he wanted me to keep all the money but i made a deal with him; i keep 700$ and he has my 305 put in my car........now i have an L98 cam for the 305, but when i was talkin to the mechanic about the cam my dad said "if ur gunna be doing that stupid crap u might as well get a whole new motor".....then i said "let me get an L98 for it then" (i was just joking around) he said.....i dunno, maybe

but yeah my dads payin for most of it, but im also working for him on our farm for almost free, thats y i dont feel so bad about it

if i do get the 350, my mods will include my 80's flows catback, TB coolant bypass, underdrive pullies, headers, new rear end of some sort, possibly shift kit, aluminum DS, id like to have an iroc steering box, and a few other "minor" mods......later down the road when i get some more cash, ill do a cam, LT1 heads (or something like that), HSR/LT1 intake, blah blah blah

also, how badly will say a 3.08 rear effect my mpg over the 2.73?

thanks guys

Exactly Zero, in fact the money spent on the gears would have been better spent on gas. 3.08's are going to do nothing for you. At all.

Also, a stock L98 will get you 340 TQ and 235 Hp.
