350? or is it a 305!?

Its more common then people think. I would venture a guess more then half the cars sold as 350's are actually 305's due do the look alike and unable to understand the Vin number. Also
the "I swapped in a 350" response. That why when I swapped my 305 for a crate 350 I kept all the receipts & invoives for everything that was done. That folder is now about a inch thick with the all swap info.

you said you just found another car...an 86 with a 350? not sure if you mean it has a 350 swapped into it...but the 86's didn't come with 350's....either it was a typo on you part or you didnt explain it well enough

edit:
oops...just reread it...you mentioned "crate" sorry...

yes, from what the guy has told me, it's a GM 350 Crate engine, with Edelbrock headers, dual cats and a flowmaster muffler, the "loud one", so I assume it's a 40 series.

I'm going over to look at it /drive it this Wed. !!! I hope this is "the one", but I'll just take it easy and not jump into it till I'm sure it's all good
