So the 350 is finally done minus a starter and a few stupid things...

so it's all ready to go in, the motor mounts are on, the engine bay is cleaned, the electrical is done, i have wipers, turn signals, headlights etc...all the happy stuff...

now....Ill buy a new oil sending unit, i just ask pep boys for a 350 chevy oil sending unit?

the speedo is mechanical...that shouldn't require any change...just a cable...

tach...how do i get the tach to work?

thermostat....how i rig that up to the dash?

if i can get that taken care of ill be confident

The tach: When you hook up the ignition to the distributor cap, there should be another little plug that goes right beside it, thats your tach, all you have to do is that one little plug.

Thermostat: Kinda similar, there should just be a little metal clip attached to a wire that you clip onto one of the heads, depending on the ages of the heads

 

Yea, the oil sender on the 305 had that clip thing, i just buy a new one? and the oiler sender cable plugs into that and bam?

i hate everyone at GM who designed the 3rd gens except the 1 guy who decided to make the dash harness SEPARATE from the rest of the TPI harness...was a RELIEF that the starter, wipers, headlights, ETC ETC, had it's own harness for all the non TPI related crap....man im so pumped....by wednesday ill have a 13 second car hopefully....just skipped completely over the 14s....only 18 and ill have built my own motor and have a 13 second car......god i hope it runs right
