305 TPI No start

305 TPI No start
I have a 92 Camaro 305 TPI.. Ok so the car sat for about 3 years without being driven, other than being started a few times a year.. I finally got it on the road, and it made it a half mile then died.. The pick up was all rusty, so we replaced the distributer.. Got it running, and in time.. I then started to pull it back out of the garage, it died again, and now wont start.. I have replaced at this point, distributor, cap, rotor, MAP sensor, new computer.. It has no codes, shows everything is working when hooked to a computer, has 45psi fuel pressure, injectors are pulsating.. The strange thing is every once in awhile the fuel pump relay will not click to turn on pump, then all of a sudden it will work again..
We are at a loss on where to go next with this problem. Any help would be great..

Re: 305 TPI No start
I'd start checking fuel pressure. If the fuel went bad in the tank it will kill the pump. That's what happened to my IROC. I have a new fuel pump to install but haven't done it yet.

Re: 305 TPI No start
To run an engine: you need fuel, spark, air and decent timing.
You say you have 45psi fuel pressure, that's good.
You have air.
You replaced the distributor and other components, it still ran but now won't start. So distributor is timed decently (not necessarily perfectly but you don't need that just to idle).
So I wonder, how's your spark? It needs to be bright and strong. If it's not, you could have a coil problem, ground problem, wiring problem or more.
Let us know what you find.

Re: 305 TPI No start
i'll go along with Lou on this, these cars are notorious for faulty ground problems. clean and chech every ground you can find and use an anti-corrossion paste on them. can't hurt and it's cheap.
