TBI would be the easiest, considering it would involve swapping the longblock only, but its the worst way for making power. Carbed would be fairly easy as well but would probably not leave you emissions legal. You would need to get a carb specific fuel pressure regulator and I think a vaccuum advance distributor and probably a few other things I am forgetting. As for TPI, it will give you comparable power to the carburator and should give you an emissions friendly vehicle but may be quite difficult to do. You will need a new ECM and wireing harness plus a higher volume fuel pump. Some of the sensors may transfer over, but now would probably be a good time to replace them anyway. I think you will need a new throttle body and of course the TPI plenum, runners, and intake baseplate. Some have said that this is just as hard as an LT1 swap, so you might take that into consideration.

Re: 305 to 350 swap

I'm not an authority on guessing HP potential but from my limited knowledge I would guess that 300hp from a 350 TBI was a realistic goal. Its not nearly as easy as TPI or carbed as the initake parts are not nearly as common (exhaust are the same). Also the TBI injectors sit in the way of airflow to the throttle causing more restriction. Make sure you gather a lot of info before making a descision.
