what are the best pistons and rods for a 305?
ive got a camaro rs 1991 and ive decided to use the 305 and see just how much power i can get out of it. but i need to know some stuff? what are the best pistons and rods for it and what else can i do to get some big horsepower increases. ive already got heads, intake and exhaust and ive got roller rockers and high rise intake. so anything else yall think would be good just let me know.8

Diamond pistons can make you a stock replacement piston or a stronger design for HEAVY nitrous use. Oliver makes a killer billet steel rod for small block chevy engines.
A plate nitrous system and can add a good 200+ more HP but you should probably have cylinder heads that are a lot beter than stock and a camshaft made to specifically take advantage of the nitrous oxide. Do some research, tally up the coin, learn learn learn or you just end up with a pile of melted parts. Goodluck

The right piston will be more determined by what kind of power you want to make.
Probably the quickest and cheapest route to big power is big nitrous, so you want good pistons/rods/crank.
Just a couple of things...
1) Nitrous is generally cheaper than other power adders, but that doesn't mean it's cheap.
2) As a general rule of thumb you can only add about another 50% in terms of power. In other words, if you are making 400 hp off the juice then you'll probably only be able to add another 200hp.
That's just a rule of thumb, not something that came down from mt sinai graven in stone.
Trying to make power with a 305...?
Well, that's starting with a handicap, isn't it?
But if you insist?
Run a big nitrous cam with a 200hp wet plate system that uses a dedicated fuel system for enrichment. Someone, I think Zex maybe...? Someone has a new plate that sprays all around the perimeter.
I don't know anyone who has used one yet, but it looks like a nice piece and it seems like an interesting idea. If I was buying a new plate system I think I'd give it a try.
Good luck.

First you need to decide what kind of power output you are going for, what powere adders, if any and what kind of compression ratio. You want to design your bottom end to handle what you're going to throw at it.
