27 or 30 spline?
27 or 30 spline?
Alright..this isnt really an engine question but my engine has an effect of why i'm asking
I'm going to be buying a 2400 stall converter to put in my car but i need to know which spline setup i have. The car is an 84 Z28 with the L69 H.O,Tranny is a 700 R4.
I really hope that GM didnt have an option of how many spline you want with that engine and tranny setup. So if anybody can help me out i'd really apperciate it.Oh and the tranny is still in the car(i drive the car to work everyday) so i cant just pull it and wait for my new converter to arrive.

Re: 27 or 30 spline?
Damn..i was hoping that because my car has the H.O. engine and some of the other options like external tranny cooler and such that the tranny would be 30.Looks like i know what i'm doin in a few days...
Is it possible to unbolt the torque converter from the flexplate and slide it back enough to count the splines or is this one of those things where i'm going to be without a car for a week while i wait for the converter to arrive and re-install everything?
