2 simple 3rd gen ?'s
#1 No, RPO J65 rear disc brakes were available on both 9 & 10 bolt rear axle assys.
#2 Contrary to what some people will say, NO 350 engines were available STOCK from the factory with T-TOPS on the Camaro/Firebirds.

I'm not sure about the 9 and 10 bolt question, my buddy has a 87 iroc 5.7L, with the 9bolt and his are disk brakes, i have a 5.0L with a 10bolt and it has drums in the rear...
Second, my same friend with the 87' iroc 5.7L has T-tops, and i have another buddy with a 88' iroc 5.7L that does not have T-tops, so they were available with and with out.. But like i said the 87' does have T-tops, and CAME with a 5.7L ALL STOCK, Vin Code 8 (eight digit in the vin #).
87DJP2001 : Your thinking of Convertibles, T-top camaro's were produced, GM then took the 1,007 T-top cars and had the roof chopped off to make the converable, this all done by an aftermarket source (ASC).. The 350 was available with T-tops but NOT Convertables. Here's some info from F-body.org:
The new 350 TPI motor was not available in the convertible however. The convertible conversion was performed on t-top equipped (t-top models have extra bracing) Camaros by ASC. Only 1,007 convertibles were produced this first year of production. 1987 was the 20th anniversary of the Camaro and the convertibles were considered the anniversary editions and were signified by a special dash badge that read `20th Anniversary Commemorative Edition'. G92 performance axle ratio and J65 four wheel disc brakes were available this year on the IROC-Z convertible.

I have to agree here with OrangeIROC MY husband & I have own 2 Irocs with 350s with Factory opt. T-tops. Both were 87s.
But Orange he could also be thinking in 91-92 when they stopped making the T-tops for a short while in the 350s because of quality issues.
For the Records there were NO 350s with 5 speeds or No 350s Converts. in the 3rd gens that were FACTORY issued. Now some of the cars did come out with these they were Modded out at the DEALERSHIP. I found this out while talking to a guy who has a stock 350 5speed Convert. Iroc. His was Dealer opt. When the dealer got it in the show room they shipped it out to be made in to a convert & the 5speed trannie put in.

I can't remember about the brakes, sorry.
As for the t-tops, they were available through 1989. 1990 GM stopped the production of t-tops on the L98s (350s). Why? Who knows? Although there have been some very rare instances where people do have t-tops on a '90+ car. Of course you can always have some place install custom tops for you car.
